The Embers for Access Foundation
Removing barriers so every child with autism can access the care they deserve.
The Embers for Access Foundation (EAF) was created to bridge the growing gap between need and access — helping families who face waitlists, funding caps, and financial hardship find real pathways to therapy and support.
Across Ontario, families wait years for help through the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). Others struggle with delayed insurance payments or out-of-pocket costs that make consistent therapy impossible. These barriers have lasting effects on children’s growth and family well-being.
EAF was built to change that.
Our Mission
To make evidence-based, compassionate therapy accessible to every child — regardless of geography, background, or circumstance.
We believe no child should miss out on early intervention or essential support because of financial or systemic barriers.
How the EAF Subsidy Program Works
Through the EAF Subsidy Program, families are matched with approved community providers in their local area who share our values of inclusive, high-quality care.
Our network includes trusted therapy and educational partners across the GTHA and throughout Ontario, offering families real choice and flexibility in how services are delivered — whether in-clinic, at home, or in the community.
One of our founding partners is Mount Etna Child & Family Services, with locations in Toronto, Oshawa, and Bowmanville.
Additional partners are joining us from urban, rural, and Indigenous communities to ensure equitable access for all.
What Families Can Access

Each program is designed to help children build lifelong skills, strengthen family relationships, and foster confidence and connection.

Our Mission
Our mission is to bridge the gap between families and life-changing therapy services through strategic sponsorship programs, community partnerships, and dedicated advocacy and subsidized programming. We empower families by providing financial support for ABA therapy, speech therapy, and specialized programs, ensuring that no child's potential remains untapped due to economic constraints
